I for one, would like to see a revival of classic era style horror films. I think the market is ripe for the Universal type monsters that onced ruled the screen. Maybe I am alone in this, maybe not. Please share your opinion.

I Mr. Seal agree with you on I think they should bring back the movies like Creature from the Black Lagoon to our big screens.

Totally seventh its obvious that Hollywood isn't doing well with Slashers and Supernatural stuff anymore we saw too much of that over the last decade. It would be a suprise though for a film like that to come though.

I would love to see a Frankenstein like movie come to pass. If you think about it, our generation has no horror icons. We borrow others like Freddy, and Michael, and Jason from other generations. It is prime time we get our own!

Hell Yea! I think they tried to make See No Evil's character one but it failed.

They have tried lots of different times (Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Ect.) but the key is...the first movie in the series can't suck!

Well, I was just using Scream as an example. I like it quite a bit, but it didn't have the longevity that Halloween and such enjoy. None of the modern fare have any longevity.

I know true true but I always wondered is there anyway to create a horror icon who can die. What I mean is Jason,Michael, Freddy are all invunerable. I think that gives them some sort of advantage. Killers like Ghostface, Fisherman, etc. fail because they can die so easily.

This is true, but nearly all the horror icons (minus Freddy) didn't die and come back until after the first film!
